WRITING YOUR OWN HERO’S JOURNEY

UNLOCK YOUR OWN EXPERIENCES FOR CREATIVE INSPIRATION.

Work through journaling, story-telling exercises, and foundational writing work to create the basis of your story. Depending on your style and platform, you may even finish your story during our time together. Reflect on your experiences both joyous and painful, and mine them to find the nuggets of gold that serve your story best. Leave the course feeling powerful, in control of your narrative, and confident in your creative voice. Heidi will help create your springboard. How far it will take you is up to you.

Your time with Heidi includes:

Day 1 – Be Heard – Where are you today in relation to your goals and setbacks? We’ll look at the unconscious ways we see ourselves. You’ll look at light and dark in story and how to make those contrasts in your experiences into narrative.

Day 2 – Goals and Obstacles – Blessings and Lessons – What is stopping you? You’ll analyze your obstacles and learn how obstacles serve the story in the larger context of your goals.

Day 3 – Fear and Forgiveness – Getting Clear On Character POV – You’ll unlock tools to use past pain as narrative gold. You’ll learn how to take the sting out of past pain so you gain masterful perspective and effectively use your experiences as story building blocks.

Day 4 – Character Drives Story and Structure – You’ll learn the functional elements of character motivations and story structure so that you can use all that gold you’ve mined to create a captivating piece.

Day 5 – Speaking Out Loud – Shaping and Reclaiming Your Narrative – You’ll work towards completing your foundational story work and design a clear plan for moving your project forward so you can be heard in the world.
