Orvieto, Italy will steal your heart. You can’t help but fall in love. It is the gorgeous depth of colors, the ageless beauty of its architecture, and the soft golden light that touches us all…everything and everyone are simply sun kissed.

For Donna Downey and Junelle Jacobsen, it is a dream come true to find themselves in this artist sanctuary. To share this space – a sweet convent in Orvieto – with a small circle of friends, all while working and playing in this Italian studio. Think of it as walking into a beautiful fairytale, meeting new artist friends, espresso & gelato any time of day, a favorite Italian chef making delicious meals, and with a sketchbook and wine in hand. Bliss!

Donna Downey and Junelle Jacobsen are bringing together their creative studies (from some favorite collections) to fill inspirational journals with sketch, collage, and paint. Let Orvieto lead your artistic heart — as all of your art will be collected and created in her town squares, cafés, and sanctuaries. Your art journal will flourish in our week together.

For some it will be a new beginning on their artist path…and some a scrumptious new chapter. All are welcome. Nothing is too complicated for a beginner or too simple for a life-long artist.

Spending time alongside a sisterhood of wild-hearted artists cannot be missed. This is a trip back in time that will encourage your spirit, embolden your inner artist, and give you layers of inspiration for years to come.
