Cynthia Morris will be sharing her Capture the WOW in Orvieto May 20-26, 2018.  See what she’s excited about…

What are you most excited about in teaching in Orvieto?

I love Italy! The dolce vita offers a sensual way to experience life. The stunning architecture, the slower pace of a village, the beautiful food and our lovely accommodations…I look forward to it all. Orvieto is a perfect location for Capture the Wow – stimulating to our muses but mellow enough to be able to relax and savor it all.

What do you hope your students will take away from your class?

My intention is to show my Wowsters a new way to interact with their inner artist and with the world around them. Even if they don’t think of themselves as artists, they will leave with a heightened sense of creativity and joy.

What is it about teaching in Orvieto, or abroad, that’s so special?

Part of the creative process is to step out of your comfort zone. Travel naturally leads us away from the known. When away from home, we are more open and porous to life’s wonders. We take this chance of being out of our ‘normal’ to enhance our relationship with our own creativity.

How do you incorporate Orvieto/Italy in your teaching this week?

The wonders of Orvieto will wend their way into our mind, bodies, hearts and journals. At the end of our time together, our journals will be a wonderful testament to the WOW of Orvieto and the WOW of our creativity.

What cultural experience are you most looking forward to?

The market! I love the open-air markets of Europe. This excursion will be a great way to practice what we are learning in our workshop.

What’s your favorite flavor of gelato?

Bacio. Or pistachio. Or coffee. Or chocolate. Oh boy…many trips to the gelateria are required!

Anything else you’d like to add?

Capture the Wow Orvieto will be a truly inspiring and rejuvenating experience. I can’t wait to hang out with creative people in this delightful place!
